I am home from NYC now, and I had a great time. It was good to see Tara. Mom said when she saw tara she thought she seemed different, but I disagreed when I saw her. She seemed very confident in herself and what she was doing, but to me she always appears that way. I was really very proud of her and all that she has experienced in NYC. She has an energy about her now like she can do anything in the world. Again, she has always had that confidence, but now I have total and complete faith in the fact that that girl will do whatever she sets her mind to and will let no one get in her way. I really admire and respect her.

Friday our plan took off and landed in NY as scheduled, so that was great after mom's whole ordeal the week before. After we dropped our luggage off at Tara's place she took us to Palmiras. It was a great italian restaurant. We all had great meal followed by a couple of drinks. Then, we went to the Promenade and then to Ground Zero and back to Tara's. Tara and I had the wonderful experience of sharing a very small twin bed. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep, but it was fun. It's one of those memories that you look back on and laugh at. Yesterday we did a little shopping, went to the Museum of Sex, and saw a show called Everything's Turning into Beautiful. The show was good. There was just one actor and one actress. It was about a pair of middle aged struggling songwriters in NYC who are trying to balance a there working relationship with their romantic feelings for eachother. The actor was this very good looking black guy with an amazing voice. Oh, I almost forgot, Tara also took us to Petrosian (sp?) for those tarts uncle tim always raved about. I had a raspberry tart and it was AMAZING. I wish I could have brought one home for everyone. We also went to this great Mexican restaurant with Ray last night, and I had a lot of fun there. I really had a lot of fun doing everything we did this weekend, but it was very exhausting. When I got home today I was so exhausted I just crashed.

Seeing Tara this weekend really showed me that anything is possible. If you believe it you can achieve it, and in a way you really make your own destiny by believing in yourself and believing that everything happens for a reason.
