I suppose it is time for me to jump back on the bandwagon. Tara left for Colorado yesterday, so I figured I should join back in the annual blog sessions.
This weekend has been a rush of bitter sweet emotions. It finally hit me on Saturday that Tara was leaving. It was so sad to see her pull out of the driveway at Dad's cottage (both of us sobbing of course) and watch her journey towards her new life. At the same time it was incredible to witness the pursuit of a greater dream that might be beyond the reach of many people. I am sure it took a great deal of strength and determination to head off to the great unknown with seemingly little fear.
Tara and Dave should be just about arriving in Colorado Springs as I type this. I think we are all in brighter spirits today know that they made the trip safely and that they are so excited to start life in Colorado. Uncle Tim would be so damn proud of Tara right now. He is looking down with a great big smile of pride and saying "that a girl...Never Say I Shoulda'".

Aww...how sweet Em. Great post! And I did check your blog the other day and it didn't show Sunday's post for some reason, otherwise I would have commented. Either way you made me tear up. I can't wait for you to come out here! Love ya!
