Today was my first day on my new job at Reliant, and it was wonderful. Obviously Xerox decided not to hire me in case you missed that one, but I think it is going to work out for the best. I told my new bosses that I was five months pregnant, and they were genuinely excited for me. They said they would probably have a shower for me later on. Also, when I told them I was going to take the minimum 6 weeks leave they told me not to make that decision just yet. They said as soon as I see that little bundle of joy I am going to fall in love and want to take all of the time I can. My big boss, Amy, the Regional Branch Manager just had a baby boy 16 weeks ago, so she was very understanding. And my direct manager, Colleen just became a grandma to grandchild number 6 (all from one daughter), so she was very understanding as well. The atmosphere there is very warm and inviting and the hierarchical lines are very unclear. Everyone is considered equal at Reliant. I met the CEO and didn't even know she was the CEO because she was so down to earth. Everyone just kind of blends together as one. They have already mentioned (and stressed) that they are grooming me for a branch manager position, so I think that in 12 months I could easily be a branch manager, and within two years from now I could be a Regional manager. It is all very exciting and better than I had hoped for. I can't wait to see what they have in store for me!
NEVER SAY I SHOULDA!

I can't tell you how happy I am for you! I am so glad you ended up at Reliant. I think it was the best decision and little Brynn will have her mommy home with her for a little longer this way too. Congrats a million!!! Love ya and miss ya!
A daughter that had 6 grandchildren huh? Like her already!!!!! Just kidding. I prayed all day yesterday that you would be treated fairly and it sounds like you are in with a good bunch of people. They are lucky to have you.
